You will own the enterprise data governance framework, defining policies, standards, and stewardship processes across cloud and analytics platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise data governance framework, including metadata strategy and data stewardship processes.
• Lead governance across Databricks (Unity Catalog), AWS data services, and Dataiku, defining catalog structures and access rules.
• Implement metadata management, lineage tracking, and data quality controls to ensure data trust and usability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enforce data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance (PII, GxP, HIPAA).

Required Skills

• 7+ years in data governance, data management, or enterprise data architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks and Unity Catalog (catalog design, access policies, lineage, classification/tagging).
• Experience with AWS data services, specifically S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift, and IAM.
• Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM), metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Proven success governing data across fragmented systems, complex pipelines, and multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with data privacy and compliance standards such as PII, PHI, GxP, and GDPR.
• Ability to work across business and technical teams, influencing without authority to build alignment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data governance workflows and tooling like Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of AI/ML governance and automation strategies.
