Description

You will own the establishment and maintenance of the organization’s data governance framework, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance across systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s data governance framework, policies, and standards.
• Establish data ownership and stewardship roles across departments.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulatory requirements, including GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.
• Define and monitor data quality metrics and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Maintain an enterprise data catalog and metadata repository.

Required Skills

• 3–7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles.
• Proven experience developing and implementing data governance or MDM programs.
• Familiarity with data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica Axon, Alation, Ataccama, or Talend.
• Strong understanding of data management frameworks like DAMA-DMBOK or DCAM.
• Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging.
• Working knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and data modeling concepts.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

Preferred Skills

• Undergraduate, Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree, or PHD.
• 3-year job tenure stability in previous roles.
