Description

You will lead data governance initiatives covering quality, lineage, security, and privacy, owning the integration of governance tools with lakehouse platforms via REST APIs and translating business requirements into technical implementations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead data governance initiatives across quality, lineage, security, and privacy disciplines.
• Develop integrations between governance tools and data lakehouse platforms using REST APIs.
• Gather business requirements and assess tools to enable key governance capabilities.
• Partner with Data Stewards and Management leads to define processes and integrations.
• Apply software development best practices to governance workflows and technical implementations.

Required Skills

• 8-12 years of data governance experience in on-premises or cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Alation, Collibra, or BigID.
• Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, Groovy, or JavaScript.
• Experience with workflow development tools like Airflow.
• Strong understanding of metamodel design.
• Working knowledge of REST/API for tool integration.
• Experience with Bitbucket or other version control tools.
• Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data catalog, lineage, security, and privacy on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
