Description

You will manage and implement data governance frameworks using Microsoft Purview and Azure ecosystems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure Microsoft Purview components including Data Map, Unified Catalog, and Workflows.
• Integrate Purview with Azure, M365, and various data sources.
• Support data quality initiatives through profiling, scoring, remediation, and reporting.
• Apply sensitivity labels, encryption, and protection policies across the data estate.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align governance practices with compliance requirements.

Required Skills

• 7–10 years of experience working with Microsoft technologies.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.
• Strong Azure experience including Data Factory, Synapse, SQL, and Data Lake.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Information Protection, AIP, RBAC, DLP, and eDiscovery.
• Experience using Power BI for governance reporting.
• Technical knowledge of Data Map, Unified Catalog, and Workflows.
• Ability to provide training and documentation to drive tool adoption.

Preferred Skills

• Background in healthcare data governance including HIPAA and GDPR.
• Experience with master/reference data management and Microsoft CoPilot.
• Microsoft Compliance, Azure Fundamentals, or Data Analyst certifications.
