Description

You will design, develop, and configure data ingestion processes on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring technical architecture specifications are met through code and tool configuration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data ingestion workflows using Cloud Data Fusion and Google Cloud Storage.
• Implement technical solutions via code development, tool configuration, and GitHub version control.
• Query databases using SQL to extract data, troubleshoot defects, and support analysis.
• Execute testing plans including unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Document process results and adhere to security standards for handling sensitive data.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or similar roles.
• Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services: Cloud Data Fusion, Google Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, and Google Cloud Storage.
• Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and database interaction.
• Experience managing workflows across multiple GCP projects.
• Proficiency with GitHub for source code management.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Any graduate degree in a relevant technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Google Dataform for data transformation.
• DBMS connectivity experience with SQL Server, DB2, or Oracle.
• Experience calling RESTful APIs and SOAP Web services.
