Description

You will maintain the accuracy and quality of Protected Health Information (PHI) within EHR systems and manage medical records requests.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Master Patient Index (MPI) and ensure integrity of medical records within the EHR system.
• Perform chart corrections, patient account merges, and overlay resolutions using specialized tools.
• Execute identity management functions, including patient account validation and interface error resolution.
• Conduct root cause analysis on data discrepancies and escalate issues to HIM management.
• Coordinate the end-to-end Release of Information (ROI) process for electronic and paper medical records.

Required Skills

• Analyze data to identify and resolve errors.
• Experience with EHR system maintenance and patient account validation.
• Knowledge of PHI handling, including state and federal compliance timeframes.
• Ability to perform chart reviews and medical records audits.
• Experience with identity management and overlay resolution.
• Skills in managing medical information requests from third-party requestors.
