Description

You will manage digital data initiatives, supporting electronic data capture, relational database administration, and client deliverables including visualizations and web applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Compile, verify, analyze, and report on large and diverse datasets.
• Develop workflows for data collection, storage, and reporting to advance digital data management.
• Maintain and refine department procedures for data processing and storage.
• Collaborate with project teams to define data requirements and required outputs.
• Coordinate with internal and external providers to manage data transfers to project databases.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of database structure, query design, and maintenance.
• Ability to perform complex data management tasks and analyze diverse datasets.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Experience with electronic data capture and relational database administration.

Preferred Skills

• Scripting proficiency in R or Python.
• Experience with web-based mapping applications and server architecture.
• Experience collecting field data via GPS units and managing environmental, geologic, or geotechnical data.
