Description

You will lead the end-to-end migration of critical IT Service Management data from BMC Remedy to Jira Service Management.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the full data migration lifecycle from BMC Remedy to Jira.
• Analyze and extract data from Remedy backend systems using SQL or API access.
• Perform data manipulation, cleansing, and validation using SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Configure and administer Jira Service Management to support migrated datasets.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in data migration, specifically moving data from legacy ITSM systems to modern platforms.
• Expert-level knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL, including advanced querying, scripting, and stored procedures.
• Demonstrable expertise in BMC Remedy administration and data structures.
• Proficiency in Jira Service Management configuration and administration.
• Experience with Jira REST APIs and CSV Importer.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms.
• Experience working within government environments or public sector IT projects.
• Ability to manage both Jira cloud and on-premise administration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with public sector compliance and data security standards.
• Background in large-scale enterprise ITSM transformations.
