Description

You will manage complex database migrations from on-premises environments to AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Analyze on-premises transactional environments (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) to plan migrations to AWS RDS and Aurora.
• Develop PL/SQL and T-SQL scripts to facilitate data movement from source to target databases.
• Identify and implement workarounds for technical issues and corner scenarios encountered during migration.
• Create test plans and cases to validate database readiness and integrity post-migration.
• Execute database administration tasks including installation, configuration, access management, backup, restore, and disaster recovery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database migration and administration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: RDS, Aurora, SCT, and DMS.
• Proven track record migrating heterogeneous databases larger than 1TB.
• Proficiency in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with performance optimization and tuning techniques.
• Strong understanding of replication and high availability configurations.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Database - Specialty certification.
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
• Experience with ETL workflow management.
