Key Responsibilities

Tier 1 – Data Preparation & Mapping

• Extract and profile customer source configurations and prepare data inventory spreadsheets.
• Execute automated mapping and categorize results as Confident, Needs Review, or Unmatched.
• Prepare customer-facing mapping review and validation packages.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for:
  • Row-count reconciliation
  • Orphan record checks
  • Duplicate detection
  • Constraint-violation identification
  • Source-to-target validation
• Develop remediation SQL for missing components, duplicate PI tags, and other data-quality issues.
• Maintain detailed run logs, migration records, and customer-specific artifact folders.
• Document all mapping, validation, reconciliation, and remediation activities.

Tier 2 – Conversion Execution

After gaining sufficient experience and supervised exposure:

• Execute end-to-end conversion using PBU, SampleManagerSchedulerConverter, DBAssistant_pro, and related tools.
• Analyze failed conversion runs and determine whether to restart, repair, or remediate.
• Plan and execute timestamp merges and foreign-key pre-flight remediation.
• Identify and assess data collisions and determine whether they are intentional or require remediation.
• Support customer cutover and post-conversion validation activities.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on SQL Server and Oracle SQL expertise.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • CTEs and Window Functions
  • Execution Plans and query optimization
  • Bulk data operations
  • Identity/Sequence behavior
  • Constraints and triggers
  • SQL Server vs. Oracle dialect differences
• Strong data profiling, reconciliation, and validation skills.
• Experience with large-scale Excel/CSV data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience in ETL, data migration, data conversion, or database transformation projects.
• Strong documentation and audit-trail discipline.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear customer-facing mapping and validation documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LIMS platforms such as:
  • Siemens/Moore SampleManager
  • LabWare
  • LabVantage
  • LabWorks
• Exposure to analytical chemistry, petroleum laboratory processes, or ASTM test methodologies.
• Basic C#/.NET knowledge sufficient to read and understand existing application/tooling code.
• Experience with staging, cutover, catch-up loads, reconciliation, and migration validation.
• Experience working with regulated or audit-sensitive data environments
