Description

You will design, develop, and implement complex relational data models to support business requirements and system transformations.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical relational data models in third normalization form and canonical formats.
• Create transactional tables, association tables, code tables, enterprise shared tables, and domain-specific tables.
• Use data modeling software to perform forward engineering for DDL generation and reverse engineering of physical databases.
• Transform legacy mainframe system data models into modern relational database management systems.
• Develop technical documentation including data dictionaries, data lineage, data mapping, and data flow diagrams.

Required Skills

• 7 years of experience designing and implementing entity relational diagrams and relational data models.
• 7 years of hands-on experience with data modeling software such as Erwin Data Modeler.
• Expertise in creating subject areas, naming standards, model templates, domains, and macros.
• Experience importing COBOL copybook files into modeling software to expedite development.
• Proficiency with DDL and DML.
• Strong background in PL/SQL development, including packages, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Experience performing data analysis and metadata cataloging.
• Ability to transform functional and technical requirements into actionable data requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Integrated Eligibility System programs such as PA, TA, SNAP, HEAP, or TANF.
• Background in data migration, conversion, or consolidation projects within staging and OLTP environments.
• Knowledge of data management concepts including data architecture, quality, governance, and master data management.
