Description

You design and govern enterprise data models and governance assets on Google Cloud Platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models using Kimball dimensional modeling or Data Vault 2.0.
• Design and optimize BigQuery schemas with partitioning, clustering, and cost-effective storage patterns.
• Configure and administer the Collibra operating model, including communities, domains, business glossary, and stewardship workflows.
• Partner with data engineers to define ingestion and transformation pipelines using Dataflow, Dataproc, and Composer.
• Establish data governance standards, define Critical Data Elements (CDEs), and manage data quality rules and remediation.

Required Skills

• 8–10+ years of experience in data modeling and data governance.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong SQL skills across analytical warehouses, with deep expertise in BigQuery.
• Proven delivery of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytics and data products.
• Hands-on experience configuring Collibra, including communities, domains, business glossary, lineage ingestion, and issue management.
• Practical experience defining Critical Data Elements (CDEs), data quality rules, and certification criteria.
• Experience collaborating with data engineers on Dataflow, Dataproc, and Composer pipelines.
• Excellent documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Collibra Certifications (Ranger, Data Steward, Governance) or GCP Professional Data Engineer.
• Experience with data modeling tools such as erwin, ER/Studio, or SqlDBM.
• Knowledge of Python, dbt for transformations, and CI/CD practices for data.
