Description

You will design and manage complex data architectures within the specialty insurance domain.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine logical and physical data models, including OLTP and OLAP/dimensional/star schema architectures.
• Lead Azure data migrations, managing both one-time and continuous migration processes.
• Analyze and document existing database architectures through reverse engineering.
• Define metadata, data lineage, dependencies, and data retention policies.
• Optimize database performance through SQL tuning and efficient data extraction strategies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in data modeling and database architecture.
• Expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL database systems.
• Strong proficiency in Azure and Azure Data Migration.
• Deep understanding of OLAP, dimensional modeling, and star schemas.
• Proven experience in Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations.
• Ability to capture business rules and data quality requirements from stakeholders.
• Experience with Unix and Python shell scripting.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to the London Lloyds Market or specialty insurance industry.
