Description

You will own the design and implementation of data models for data warehouses, operational data stores, and analytic platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Define and implement schemas including star/snowflake, normalized models, and Data Vault for DWH and ODS.
• Collaborate with data engineers and BI teams to ensure models are consumable, performant, and aligned with upstream and downstream systems.
• Optimize model performance through indexing, partitioning, and query tuning to ensure scalability.
• Manage metadata, data dictionaries, and data lineage, utilizing platforms like Alation Data Catalog.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data modelling.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of Data Mart design and data vault methodologies.
• Familiarity with metadata management and data governance standards.
• Ability to conduct data modelling workshops and act as a subject matter expert.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with specific data catalog tools (e.g., Alation).
• Background in data stewardship and compliance.
