Data Modeler

Design and maintain data models to support future state data architecture and application modernization.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data models for operational, analytical, and NoSQL platforms.
• Develop data schemas for event/message publishing and integration.
• Manage data definitions, metadata, business glossaries, and data lineage.
• Champion enterprise data policies, procedures, and standards.
• Mentor team members and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business users.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of data modeling experience.
• Experience designing logical and physical relational data models.
• Experience with Inmon and/or Kimball analytical modeling techniques.
• Experience designing NoSQL data models using XML Schema (XSD), JSON Schema, and Avro.
• Solid knowledge of Data Governance and Management Concepts including MDM and Data Quality.
• Experience in both waterfall and agile development practices.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical data models.
• Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Databricks Delta Lake and Teradata.
• Experience designing for Kafka, Cassandra, MarkLogic, or MongoDB.
• Proficiency in SQL and use of modeling tools like PowerDesigner or Hackolade.
