Description

You will design and optimize curated data assets for an Enterprise Data Platform using Google BigQuery.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize scalable data structures on Google BigQuery.
• Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and architects to translate business requirements into structured models.
• Implement data models within ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Apply dimensional modeling and data vault techniques to support retail data requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data modeling and architecture within cloud data platforms.
• Expertise in Google BigQuery, including performance tuning via partitioning and clustering.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with query optimization.
• Proficiency in dimensional modeling (Kimball), data vault, and normalization/denormalization.
• Knowledge of retail data domains including sales, inventory, pricing, supply chain, and customer analytics.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data engineering workflows.
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data cataloging.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to modern data architectures such as data lakehouse or event-driven processing.
• Familiarity with the GCP ecosystem, including Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
