Description

Design, implement, and optimize data models for the data warehouse, ensuring alignment with business requirements. You will work extensively with IBM IDA to create logical and physical data models. Ensure that data models are scalable, performant, and aligned with the organization’s data strategy. Collaborate with data engineers to implement and maintain data models in Azure and Databricks environments. Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring data quality and consistency across systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement logical and physical data models using IBM IDA.
• Ensure data models are scalable and performant within Azure and Databricks.
• Collaborate with data engineers to maintain data integrity and consistency.
• Translate business requirements into technical data specifications.
• Optimize data warehouse structures for efficiency and alignment with strategy.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Data Modeler in data warehouse environments.
• Strong expertise with IBM IDA (InfoSphere Data Architect).
• Solid understanding of Azure and Databricks architecture.
• Proficiency in relational and dimensional data modeling techniques.
• Experience with star and snowflake schemas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake data warehousing.
