Description

Design and maintain logical and physical data models for Snowflake data warehouses and data marts.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop logical and physical data models for Data Warehouse and Data Mart layers in Snowflake.
• Create and maintain Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) documents to ensure accurate data mapping for policy, claims, and financial domains.
• Validate transformation logic for downstream consumption layers used by DBT pipelines and Power BI models.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis and profiling, including JSON payload understanding and complex domain structures.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to design optimized structures supporting DBT pipelines and Snowflake performance.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling within an insurance domain.
• Strong experience designing and implementing effective data models in Snowflake for analytical and operational reporting.
• Proficiency in developing SCD1, SCD2, and SCD3 Dimension Data models.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to validate transformations and model outputs.
• Experience working with Erwin Data Modeler for conceptual, logical, and physical models.
• Knowledge of handling JSON/XML structures, schema interpretation, and source payload analysis.
• Experience in translating business requirements into logical and physical data models.
• Familiarity with agile methodology.

Preferred Skills

• Domain expertise in Workers Compensation (WC), Commercial Multi Peril (CMP), Excess Surplus (ES), or Excess Casualty (XS).
