You will design and maintain abstract data model layers to support operational and analytical database requirements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Lead database design sessions and capture requirements for software engineering projects.
• Perform data analysis for operational applications and analytical databases.
• Collaborate with architects to identify new information capabilities for business domains.
• Analyze and resolve performance issues across various operational environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Modeler in Big Data and real-time streaming environments.
• Expertise in relational and dimensional data modeling.
• Advanced SQL expertise with proficiency in query tools like AQT or TOAD.
• Deep understanding of the Kafka ecosystem, including brokers, ZooKeeper, producers/consumers, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or Netezza.
• Advanced ETL experience using Informatica or DataStage.
• Strong UNIX shell scripting skills, specifically in COBOL and Perl.
• Experience with major modeling tools such as ER Studio or Erwin.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and system development life cycles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in database administration and impact analysis of data structure changes.
• Experience with large-scale ODS, data warehouse, or MDM modeling techniques.
