Description

You will design, implement, and document data architecture and modeling solutions focused on unstructured data and NoSQL environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for MongoDB, other NoSQL databases, RDBMS, ODS, data marts, and data lakes.
• Meet with stakeholders to document requirements and convey the pros and cons of different modeling alternatives.
• Lead model reviews to ensure solutions satisfy immediate and future requirements while maintaining consistency across collections.
• Create and maintain modeling artifacts, including data dictionaries, requirements documentation, and model change request logs.
• Define and govern data modeling standards, tools, and best practices for enterprise data models.
• Identify patterns in domain and enterprise models to ensure ease of integration and alignment with common language.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of data modeling experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with relational, dimensional, and analytic data using MongoDB and other NoSQL technologies.
• Expertise in SQL/NoSQL, MongoDB, RDBMS, and ODS.
• Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts.
• Proven ability to design and develop reusable REST API models/frameworks for data ingestion and consumption.
• Knowledge of metadata management and modeling tools such as Erwin or ER Studio.
• Experience with database security management and MongoDB administration/installation in AWS and Red Hat.
• In-depth understanding of MongoDB architecture, schema configuration, and modeling patterns.
