Description

You will design and implement data architectures for relational databases and AWS cloud data warehouses.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for relational databases and AWS environments.
• Optimize database structures to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement cloud-based data solutions using Redshift, S3, Glue, and RDS.
• Maintain data dictionaries, lineage, and metadata documentation.
• Align model designs with data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data modeling for SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Extensive experience with AWS services including Redshift, S3, Glue, and RDS.
• Heavy experience working within the financial sector.
• Expertise in data warehousing concepts, Star/Snowflake schemas, and normalization/denormalization.
• Proficiency with ER modeling tools such as ER/Studio or Erwin.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data integration.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying and analyzing relational databases.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from a US University.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NoSQL and big data technologies including DynamoDB, Athena, and EMR.
• AWS Certifications such as Data Analytics Specialty or Solutions Architect.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for data processing.
