Description

You will design and deliver enterprise data models across operational and analytical domains.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting single-source-of-truth principles.
• Establish modeling standards, including naming conventions, SCD2 strategies, and lineage documentation.
• Develop detailed source-to-target mappings aligned with model definitions for data engineering.
• Validate model performance and recommend indexing, partitioning, and clustering strategies.
• Translate business requirements into supported data structures for stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of progressive experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture.
• Expertise with relational (3NF) and dimensional modeling (star schema).
• Proficiency with cloud-based modern data stack environments (Azure preferred).
• Strong SQL skills for model validation, profiling, and optimization.
• Experience with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, ERwin, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouses, data marts, and metadata-driven modeling.
• Knowledge of data ingestion, CDC design patterns, and SCD2 data history strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS and Databricks environments.
• Background in ETL processes and Mulesoft integration.
