Description

You will design and govern conceptual and logical data models for enterprise-scale data platforms, ensuring alignment with Medallion architecture and business requirements.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyse current-state SQL transformation logic and source-to-target mapping sheets to derive accurate domain and entity models.
• Develop conceptual and logical data models, defining entities, attributes, relationships, keys, and normalization patterns.
• Define data products per domain, including purpose, consumers, SLAs, interfaces, and versioning strategies.
• Establish and maintain data contracts between producers and consumers across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Document business definitions, metadata, and lineage to ensure traceability from source to consumption.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in conceptual and logical data modelling for enterprise platforms.
• Strong SQL analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex transformation logic.
• Experience defining entities, attributes, and relationships with clear model documentation.
• Knowledge of enterprise data architecture concepts, including conformed dimensions and canonical models.
• Proficiency with data product thinking, including domain boundaries and ownership.
• Experience with metadata definition and supporting data lineage traceability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder facilitation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in banking/financial services data (e.g., AML, payments, treasury).
• Exposure to Azure Databricks, Lakehouse concepts, and Delta Lake patterns.
• Familiarity with data catalogue/governance tooling (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Purview).
