Description

You will design and maintain enterprise-scale data models, taxonomies, and ontologies to support API schema design and event-driven architectures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute conceptual and logical modeling to support system, API, and event design.
• Create and maintain taxonomies and metadata to ensure comprehensive domain coverage for human and machine ingestion.
• Consult design teams on API and event schema design, including schema evolution and event choreography.
• Coordinate with regional teams to harmonize models and enforce enterprise logical standards.
• Profile data in data warehouses using SQL to ensure model accuracy and integrity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in building conceptual and logical enterprise data models.
• Proficiency in SQL for data profiling and tuning.
• Deep understanding of REST API and/or GraphQL interface design.
• Experience with JSON schema and YAML semantics.
• Familiarity with data modeling tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, SAP PowerDesigner, or Microsoft Visio.
• Ability to work with YAML-based logical models within DevOps CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory).
• Expertise in designing for large-scale event-driven ecosystems and pub/sub patterns (e.g., Kafka).
• Strong attention to detail regarding taxonomy and entity naming conventions.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD) and NoSQL modeling.
• Experience with GraphQL APIs, Apollo, or Apigee.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud, specifically Azure Synapse.
