Description

You design and optimize enterprise data warehouses and marts within Snowflake, translating business requirements into efficient logical and physical models.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design dimensional, star, snowflake, and Data Vault models aligned with query patterns and Snowflake architecture.
• Define data cleansing, transformation rules, and governance standards to ensure quality and compliance.
• Optimize schemas and indexing strategies to reduce compute costs and improve query execution speed.
• Create detailed documentation, data dictionaries, and train engineers and analysts on data structures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key metrics and translate them into scalable data models.

Required Skills

• 10+ years in data warehousing and data modeling.
• 5+ years specifically dedicated to Snowflake environments.
• Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, SQL, and query tuning.
• Proficiency with ER diagramming tools (Erwin, ERStudio, Lucidchart).
• Experience designing relational, dimensional, and star schema models.
• Ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks and tune SQL queries.
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data integration principles.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
