Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned to business and technical requirements.
• Design relational schemas using normalization and denormalization techniques for performance and usability.
• Create and maintain ER models and data model documentation artifacts for downstream engineering teams.
• Support data warehousing design including dimensional modeling concepts.
• Partner with data engineering on data integration needs and ensure metadata, governance, and MDM alignment.

Skills Required:

• 5 - 10 years of experience in data modeling and relational database design.
• Physical data modeling and strong understanding of physical design concepts.
• Conceptual and logical data modeling with ER modeling fundamentals.
• SQL and relational database expertise (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts; familiarity with ETL/ELT and data integration.

Good to Have:

• Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, SAP PowerDesigner, IBM InfoSphere Data Architect, or similar.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and master data management (MDM).
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
