Description

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business and technical requirements.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned to business and technical requirements.
• Design relational schemas using normalization and denormalization techniques for performance and usability.
• Create and maintain ER models and data model documentation artifacts for downstream engineering teams.
• Support data warehousing design including dimensional modeling concepts.
• Partner with data engineering on data integration needs and ensure metadata, governance, and MDM alignment.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of experience in data modeling and relational database design.
• Strong understanding of physical design concepts and ER modeling fundamentals.
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT and data integration processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, SAP PowerDesigner, or IBM InfoSphere Data Architect.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and master data management (MDM).
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
