Description

job responsibilities include:

Manage and support enterprise data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and analytical datasets across AWS and/or GCP environments.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.

Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Talend and/or dbt.

Develop automation solutions and operational tooling using Python to improve monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation processes.

Support data reprocessing, historical backfills, and controlled re-drive activities while maintaining governance and auditability.

Partner with Data Engineering, BI, and Platform teams to ensure data accuracy, freshness, and SLA compliance.

Implement and maintain operational procedures, runbooks, and support documentation.

Optimize cloud platform performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

7–10 years of experience in Data Operations, Data Engineering, or Platform Operations.

Strong hands-on expertise with Talend (must-have).

Strong experience with SQL and data analysis (must-have).

Experience supporting enterprise data platforms on AWS and/or GCP (must-have).

Strong understanding of:

Data pipeline orchestration

Data quality validation and reconciliation

Batch and near real-time processing

Production support and SLA management

Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with dbt.

Strong Python development and automation skills.

Experience in Retail, QSR (Quick Service Restaurants), or consumer-facing industries.

Familiarity with data observability, monitoring, and alerting solutions.

Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices for data platforms.

Exposure to large-scale transactional, sales, or operational reporting systems.

Experience working in high-availability or regulated environments
