Description

You will build and maintain data systems and pipelines to support pricing and foreign exchange systems in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and organize raw data to build scalable data pipelines.
• Conduct complex data analysis and prepare datasets for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
• Design and implement features within a scrum team to improve data quality and efficiency.
• Propose and refine new system functionality during design meetings.
• Track down and fix defects while answering client queries regarding the pricing system.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in the IT industry with a focus on Data Engineering.
• Proficiency with data warehousing tools including Teradata and Informatica.
• Hands-on experience in Big Data environments using Hadoop, Pig, Hive, MapReduce, Spark, and BigQuery.
• Expertise in scheduling tools such as UC4, Control-M, and Tivoli (TWS).
• Strong SQL programming skills.
• Expertise in software engineering best practices for reliability, availability, scalability, and performance.
• Any graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Java, Python, and Unix scripting.
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
• Working experience in Agile methodologies.
