Description

You will design and architect scalable, secure data platforms across Azure and hybrid environments, owning the long-term roadmap for lakehouse and warehouse solutions.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement architectural patterns for data ingestion, modeling, transformation, and access across Azure and hybrid environments.
• Lead cloud-first initiatives, including Azure Data Lakes, storage architecture, and Microsoft Fabric connectivity.
• Embed metadata, lineage, and catalog capabilities into platform design to support enterprise reporting and BI.
• Align data architecture with governance, security standards, and regulatory considerations like NERC and FERC.
• Partner with engineering and governance teams to operationalize standards and support migration from on-prem systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture or senior data engineering roles.
• Strong experience designing data platforms on Azure beyond basic data lakes.
• Hands-on expertise with lakehouse and warehouse technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data integration patterns including batch, streaming, and APIs.
• Ability to design long-term architectural roadmaps with strong systems-thinking.
• Experience supporting enterprise analytics platforms and semantic models.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with NERC and FERC regulatory environments.
• Experience partnering with data governance teams, data stewards, and business stakeholders.
