Description

Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of big data platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. Own the full lifecycle of platform deployments, from architecture design to production troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain the Big Data Platform and its ecosystem for on-premises and cloud deployments.
• Perform cluster maintenance, including node creation, removal, and version upgrades.
• Set up high availability for HDFS, YARN, and ZooKeeper.
• Execute capacity planning, performance tuning, and root cause analysis for database and platform issues.
• Monitor multi-datacenter platforms to ensure secure, efficient production operations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data platform engineering and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, HBase, Hive, Spark, ZooKeeper, Impala, and YARN.
• Proficiency with Azure Data technologies including Data Factory, Azure Databricks, ADLS, Synapse, and Event Hub.
• Experience using Ganglia, Nagios, Cloudera Manager Enterprise, and Dell OpenManage.
• Ability to manage and monitor Azure cloud data platforms using Azure Monitor.
• Proven experience in data platform deployments and troubleshooting in production.
• Strong problem-solving skills for performing root cause analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing and architecting big data projects.
• Any Graduate degree.
