Description

You will lead and mentor geographically distributed data engineering and analytics teams to deliver projects within the e-commerce and retail domain.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data engineering and analytics projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
• Lead and inspire distributed teams, fostering collaboration and guiding technical decision-making.
• Manage resource allocation, budgets, and timelines to optimize project execution.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and progress clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Leverage retail domain expertise to drive data-driven insights and strategies.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in program management, with at least 1-2 years of recent, hands-on experience in data engineering or analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience building or enhancing data pipelines using modern data stack tools, specifically Glue, Airflow, Fivetran, RedShift, and dbt.
• Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau and ThoughtSpot.
• Strong understanding of retail and e-commerce business KPIs.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Cloud Big Data Solutions including EMR, AWS Redshift, Kinesis, and AWS Data Streams.
• Knowledge of Apache Suite for Big Data Architecture (Spark, Kafka) and DBT-based data modeling.
• Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or similar).
