Description

You will perform data quality assurance on GIS datasets, ensuring accuracy and integrity through automated and manual validation.

Responsibilities

• Execute QA/QC processes for GIS datasets using FME and MapInfo Professional.
• Validate spatial data integrity and resolve simple data quality issues independently.
• Communicate dataset content, analysis results, and usage guidelines to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Plan and deliver small, defined components within admin-based projects within agreed timescales.
• Identify innovation opportunities and escalate complex issues when necessary.

Required Skills

• 4 to 8 years of practical experience in data quality assurance.
• Proficiency with FME (Spatial ETL) and MapInfo Professional.
• Hands-on experience with QGIS and GIS data workflows.
• Strong ability to explain technical dataset details to diverse audiences.
• Proven track record of managing work autonomously to meet deadlines.
• Experience in isolating and resolving data-related problems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Qualification in GIS or Data-related discipline.
• Experience with spatial ETL applications beyond FME.
