You will own data acquisition and replication processes to support digital modernization efforts.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute log-based replication to move data between different DBMS and platforms.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and operate replication technology and day-to-day processes.
• Lead data transformation efforts from legacy systems to new and alternative technologies.
• Automate replication tasks and workflows using shell or bash scripting.
• Participate in technical design meetings and provide guidance to junior and mid-level staff.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data acquisition or replication.
• Proven experience with log-based replication technology.
• Hands-on experience replicating data from DB2 z/OS, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Experience with flat file replication and distributed databases.
• Strong understanding of source control systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (IIDR) CDC technologies.
• Proficiency in Python, Git, and Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of Ansible, AWS administration, and ETL tools.
