Description

Lead data replication efforts to support digital modernization initiatives by designing, implementing, and maintaining high-volume data replication solutions.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop new solutions, processes, and operational plans to enhance replication strategy.
• Manage the installation, configuration, and day-to-day operation of replication technology.
• Provide technical input during customer design and development meetings.
• Guide, support, and train junior and mid-level staff members.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and weekend work as required.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with log-based replication technology.
• Hands-on experience with IIDR or CDC tools.
• Proven ability to replicate data from DB2 z/OS, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Experience acquiring and replicating data from legacy and distributed databases, including flat files.
• Strong shell scripting skills for automating replication tasks via batch or bash.
• Proficiency working within Linux environments.
• Experience managing data transformation from legacy to alternative technologies.
• Understanding of source control systems.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or Doctorate).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
