Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users and analysts to define hypotheses and testable predictions.
• Design and build data models and schemas required for hypothesis testing.
• Develop analytic models using various techniques and algorithms to create predictive outcomes.
• Utilize data visualization tools to identify correlations and outliers within datasets.
• Test and validate predictive models to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Required Skills

• 2-3 years of experience working as a data scientist.
• Proficiency in SQL and working with relational database systems.
• Hands-on experience with Big-Data technologies like Hadoop.
• Intermediate programming skills in Python, Java, or C++.
• Scripting experience with Bash or Perl.
• Working knowledge of UNIX/LINUX and Windows environments.
• Experience with data visualization tools including Tableau, Spotfire, DataRPM, or ggplot2.
• Experience with analytic tools such as SAS, R, MADlib, or Alpine Miner.
• Strong foundation in statistics, programming, and advanced prediction models.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
