Description

You will bridge the gap between the Decision Science Ecosystem platform team and the internal data science community. Your primary focus is enabling data scientists to model and operationalize solutions on the DSE platform, targeting Crop Science consumers and integrating with Global Data Assets products.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Foster a developer community around Global Data Assets & Analytics platforms through hackathons, workshops, and meetups.
• Partner with the Data Science community to implement best practices and align with platform vision.
• Create educational content, provide technical support, and gather developer feedback to advocate for community needs.
• Build relationships with key influencers and leaders to extend the platform’s reach and amplify its messages.
• Develop and contribute tools that simplify platform operations without writing production code.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Data Modeling, or AI/ML.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R, including libraries like pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with data visualization tools and MLOps practices.
• Hands-on knowledge of model deployment strategies on top cloud providers: AWS SageMaker, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to read and understand code to guide developers, though this role does not involve developing code.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to advocate for a user base of 600+ individuals.
• Masters degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in evangelism, promotion, and organizing technical events.
• Familiarity with Global Data Assets products such as Location360, Market360, Product360, or Crop Science Warehouse.
