Description
Apply statistical modeling and machine learning to solve complex analytical problems. You will own the data pipeline from extraction to visualization, ensuring insights are actionable and clearly communicated.
Responsibilities
- Apply statistical algorithms, econometrics, and predictive modeling to analyze large datasets.
- Query and manage data using SQL across relational and NoSQL database systems.
- Develop data visualizations to communicate findings using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
- Utilize cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure for data processing and modeling.
- Execute analytical tasks using programming languages including Python, R, or MATLAB.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a data scientist or in a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or MATLAB for data analysis and modeling.
- Experience with SQL and both relational and schema-less (NoSQL) databases.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
- Practical application of statistical algorithms, machine learning, or predictive modeling.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX (3x per week).
