You will use statistical modeling and machine learning to solve complex business challenges through data-driven insights.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Identify valuable data sources and opportunities to leverage data for solving business problems.
• Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of structured and unstructured datasets.
• Research and implement custom statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
• Execute methodical analytical experiments to evolve ideas into functional solutions.
• Coordinate with engineering and software development teams to integrate models into continuous business and software cycles.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of practical experience as a Data Scientist with a proven track record.
• Expertise in R, SQL, and Python.
• Strong mathematical foundation in statistics, algebra, and multi-variable calculus.
• Extensive background in data mining and statistical analysis.
• Deep understanding of the real-life applicability and limitations of machine learning algorithms.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques including clustering, decision tree learning, and artificial neural networks.
• Proficiency in statistical techniques such as regression, properties of distributions, and statistical testing.
• Experience with GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, and social network analysis.
• Expertise in querying Relational and No-SQL databases.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Scala, Java, or C++.
• Experience within B2B, Financial Industry, Asset Management, or Sales & Marketing sectors.
