Description

You will manage data transmission feeds to the CDC and maintain critical system metadata.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data transmission feeds to the CDC using message mapping guides.
• Manage metadata for systems and datasets, including data dictionaries and change documentation.
• Identify solutions for information access, data repositories, and visual displays for quality review.
• Address legal, confidential, and security concerns regarding data collection, storage, and access.
• Apply informatics principles and standards to departmental and external projects.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data science or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or other scripting languages.
• Experience with PowerBI for data visualization.
• Knowledge of clinical coding standards including HL7, SNOMED, ICD-10, and CPT.
• Two years of experience working in a public health setting.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
