You will leverage statistical analysis and data mining to identify trends and provide actionable insights for procurement decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze statistics from multiple sources to identify trends and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Design, modify, and build new data processes and large, complex data sets.
- Lead research projects involving advanced data mining, algorithm development, and data pipeline construction.
- Apply machine learning and predictive analytics to public procurement data and systems.
- Communicate data findings to business and IT leaders to influence organizational strategy.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in data science or related analytical roles.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Experience with Shell Scripting and PowerShell.
- Hands-on work with Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Knowledge of procurement data, reporting systems, and professional services procurement processes.
- Ability to build data pipelines and perform advanced data mining.
- Experience using Git, GitHub, XML, and JSON.
- Familiarity with Big Data platforms including Apache Spark, Hive, and MapReduce.
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, EMR, and Athena.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for data visualization.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Lake.
