Description

You will apply machine learning and natural language processing to improve user experiences on academic and government data platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify ML and NLP algorithms to solve specific user experience problems.
• Implement mathematical methods and devise test plans to validate and compare different approaches.
• Explore existing data for insights and recommend additional sources for continuous improvement.
• Test ideas end-to-end, moving from data extraction through to implementation and validation.
• Identify new applications for ML and NLP across extensive content and data sets.

Required Skills

• 2-5 years of industry experience.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, R, or C++.
• Strong understanding of ML, NLP, and statistical methodologies in data analytics environments.
• Experience with search engines, classification algorithms, and recommendation systems.
• Knowledge of relevance evaluation methodologies.
• Ability to gather data across business unit boundaries and communicate findings to global teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
