Description

You will design and implement machine learning solutions to optimize child welfare intake processes. You own the full lifecycle from discovery and design to prototype development and stakeholder validation.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to analyze current intake processes and identify shortcomings.
• Devise improved workflows using NLP and machine learning to enhance outcomes and reduce resource usage.
• Build and host prototype applications using Python, C++, Java, or similar languages.
• Conduct design reviews and validate proof-of-concept efficacy with state stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile development to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in data science or software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with relational databases including Postgres, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning methods.
• Ability to integrate prototypes with available data sources.
• Experience with React or Next.js for demonstrable applications.
• Experience with Node.js for backend integration.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
