Description

You design and implement machine learning solutions to optimize child welfare intake processes, owning the full lifecycle from discovery to stakeholder validation.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current intake processes with stakeholders to identify shortcomings and opportunities for improvement.
• Devise improved workflows using NLP and machine learning to enhance outcomes and reduce resource usage.
• Build and host prototype applications using Python, C++, or Java.
• Conduct design reviews and validate proof-of-concept efficacy with state stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile development to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in data science or software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with relational databases including Postgres, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning methods.
• Ability to integrate prototypes with available data sources.
• Experience with React or Next.js for demonstrable applications.
• Experience with Node.js for backend integration.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
