Description

You will manage clinical data standards and governance for healthcare payer operations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Document and maintain data standards, including Critical Data Elements (CDEs), business terms, definitions, reference data, and business rules.
• Monitor data quality metrics, analyze trends, and lead remediation or preventive action efforts.
• Partner with business, technical, and regulatory stakeholders to implement industry and business data standards.
• Define and communicate metrics to gauge data health and quality across enterprise systems.
• Lead cross-organizational efforts involving risk assessment, metadata management, and issue management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data management.
• Deep understanding of data organization and relationships between data domains across multiple enterprise systems.
• Experience with metadata management and data quality monitoring.
• Proven ability to manage Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and business rules.
• Background in data governance programs and compliance with data standards.
• Knowledge of healthcare payer clinical data operations.
• Ability to identify business process improvements and present implementation options.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within a cross-functional team involving business and IT stakeholders.
• Ability to represent the clinical data domain in enterprise workgroups and data steward communities of practice.
