Description

You will validate data pipelines, metadata configurations, and the accuracy of a metadata-driven settlement rule engine on a cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and document test cases for data validation, metadata accuracy, and rule execution.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing on data pipelines and rule engine functionalities.
• Execute tests on cloud components including AWS Glue and Lambda.
• Validate inbound and outbound extracts against data contracts and requirements.
• Use SQL to verify data accuracy across pipeline stages and within data warehouses.
• Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or HP ALM.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for regression and sanity testing.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on data projects.
• Hands-on experience testing ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehouses.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Experience with cloud databases such as Postgres, Redshift, or Synapse.
• Experience using test management tools like JIRA or HP ALM.
• Ability to analyze and identify root causes of data discrepancies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PySpark scripting.
• Familiarity with metadata-driven systems and rule engines.
