Description

You will own the quality assurance and validation strategy for AWS Data Lake projects, focusing on data pipeline integrity and system reliability.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for AWS Data Lake pipelines, including CSV comparisons across multiple datasets.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate data transformation logic and compare source versus target data.
• Conduct system integration, functional, regression, and performance testing for APIs based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Isolate defects, create precise reproduction steps, and manage defect resolution using requirements traceability matrices.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies to ensure testability, maintain testing timelines, and produce daily status reports.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a QA Analyst or Test Engineer.
• 5+ years of experience in test case development and execution for software testing.
• 5+ years of strong SQL skills for writing complex queries to compare source and target data.
• 3+ years of experience testing AWS Data Lakes and ETL data pipelines.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Experience managing Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure complete requirement coverage.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues in test and production environments.
• Experience with ServiceNow for defect tracking.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of data lake architecture and ETL processes.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks for data pipelines.
