Description

You will serve as the platform administrator for the Enterprise Data Warehouse, managing three distinct environments (Production, Dev/DR, and Test) supporting over 10,000 users and 40 terabytes of data.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement technical planning, strategy, and delivery for EDW platform services to meet client business requirements.
• Administer Teradata ecosystem health, including node management, Viewpoint administration, and PSIM monitoring.
• Manage software maintenance, upgrades, and patching, coordinating with vendors for escalated troubleshooting and release management.
• Provide OS guidance, security expertise, and disaster recovery planning advice to enterprise DBAs and agency stakeholders.
• Monitor platform performance, resolve performance issues, and optimize resource allocation.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with Teradata database administration, including upgrades, provisioning, and workload management.
• Proficiency in scripting with BASH, Perl, and Python for automation and maintenance tasks.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and Teradata Tools and Utilities (TTU).
• Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to conduct performance tuning, backup & recovery, and resource optimization.
• Understanding of cloud computing fundamentals, networking, and preferably MS Azure.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing large-scale enterprise environments with complex security and audit requirements.
• Familiarity with Teradata Glink and advanced statistics.
