Description

You will own the architecture, administration, and performance tuning of the Teradata data warehouse environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage Teradata database administration, including Viewpoint, TTU, PSIM, and backup & recovery operations.
• Tune performance and manage workload distribution across the data warehouse cluster.
• Design and maintain ETL processes and support Unix/Linux shell scripting with Bash, Perl, or Python.
• Implement security and compliance standards including NIST, IRS Pub 1075, SSA, and Medicaid regulations.
• Apply Azure Cloud fundamentals and manage disaster recovery strategies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of Teradata Database Administration experience.
• Deep knowledge of Teradata Viewpoint, TTU, and PSIM tools.
• Proficiency in performance tuning and workload management.
• Strong Unix/Linux skills with Shell/Bash scripting.
• Scripting experience in Perl or Python.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud fundamentals.
• Understanding of security and compliance frameworks (NIST, IRS Pub 1075, SSA, Medicaid).

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
