Description

You will design and manage the security, infrastructure, and operational continuity of the Data Warehouse environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Linux security model on ETL servers, including user access, group authorizations, and sudo permissions.
• Administer Teradata security and access controls.
• Oversee the Common Batch Framework and Common Scheduler to ensure data availability for critical business processes.
• Own the change management infrastructure, managing code and DDL promotions through manual and automated build processes.
• Lead the migration of separate MDHHS Data Warehouses to common processes and ensure adherence to SOM policies.

Required Skills

• Minimum 12 years of Teradata experience.
• Minimum 10 years of SQL experience.
• Minimum 10 years of shell scripting experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Linux experience.
• Experience supporting State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Data Warehouses.
• Experience loading data from multiple source systems.
• Expertise in ETL processes and Data Warehouse architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to provide technical training to development teams for batch troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to work independently within a collaborative team.
